بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ
Saheeh International (1) When the sky breaks apart

وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ
Saheeh International (2) And when the stars fall, scattering,

وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
Saheeh International (3) And when the seas are erupted

وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
Saheeh International (4) And when the [contents of] graves are scattered [i.e., exposed],

عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
Saheeh International (5) A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back.

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
Saheeh International (6) O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous,

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
Saheeh International (7) Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?

فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
Saheeh International (8) In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.

كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
Saheeh International (9) No! But you deny the Recompense.

وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَٰفِظِينَ
Saheeh International (10) And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers,[1876]

كِرَامًا كَٰتِبِينَ
Saheeh International (11) Noble and recording;

يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
Saheeh International (12) They know whatever you do.

إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ
Saheeh International (13) Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,

وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ
Saheeh International (14) And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.

يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
Saheeh International (15) They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense,

وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ
Saheeh International (16) And never therefrom will they be absent.

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Saheeh International (17) And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Saheeh International (18) Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ
Saheeh International (19) It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allāh.
