Surah Ad-Dhuhaa — 11 verses

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلضُّحَىٰ

Saheeh International(1) By the morning brightness

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ

Saheeh International(2) And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,[1941]

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ

Saheeh International(3) Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muḥammad], nor has He detested [you].

وَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ

Saheeh International(4) And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ

Saheeh International(5) And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ

Saheeh International(6) Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ

Saheeh International(7) And He found you lost and guided [you],

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ

Saheeh International(8) And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.

فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ

Saheeh International(9) So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ

Saheeh International(10) And as for the petitioner,[1942] do not repel [him].

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ

Saheeh International(11) But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].
