وَٱسْتَفْتَحُوا۟ وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
Saheeh International(15) And they requested decision [i.e., victory from Allāh], and disappointed, [therefore], was every obstinate tyrant.
English Translation - Rowwad Translation Center[The messengers] sought victory, and every obstinate tyrant was doomed.
English Translation - Hilali and Khan15. And they (the Messengers) sought victory and help [from their Lord (Allâh)]; and every obstinate, arrogant dictator (who refuses to believe in the Oneness of Allâh) was brought to a complete loss and destruction.
