إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
Saheeh International(35) Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allāh," were arrogant
English Translation - Rowwad Translation Centerfor whenever it was said to them, “None has the right to be worshiped except Allah,” they became arrogant,
English Translation - Hilali and Khan35. Truly, when it was said to them: Lâ ilâha illallâh "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh)," they puffed themselves up with pride[3] (i.e. denied it).
