Surah Al-An'aam, Verse 9

Mecca · revelation order 55 · 6:9

وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَٰهُ مَلَكًا لَّجَعَلْنَٰهُ رَجُلًا وَلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّا يَلْبِسُونَ

Saheeh International(9) And if We had made him [i.e., the messenger] an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves [i.e., confusion and doubt].
English Translation - Rowwad Translation CenterAnd if We had made him an angel, We would have surely made him [appear as] a man[3], and We would have caused them confusion just as they are confused.
English Translation - Hilali and Khan9. And had We appointed him an angel, We indeed would have made him a man, and We would have certainly confused them in which they are already confused (i.e. the Message of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم).
