Surah Saad, Verse 86

قُلْ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ

Saheeh International(86) Say, [O Muḥammad], "I do not ask you for it [i.e., the Qur’ān] any payment, and I am not of the pretentious.
English Translation - Rowwad Translation CenterSay [O Prophet], “I do not ask you for any reward for it, nor do I pretend to be what I am not.
English Translation - Hilali and Khan86. Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Qur’ân), nor am I one of the Mutakallifûn (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist).
