يَدْعُوا۟ لَمَن ضَرُّهُۥٓ أَقْرَبُ مِن نَّفْعِهِۦ لَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَلَبِئْسَ ٱلْعَشِيرُ
Saheeh International(13) He invokes one whose harm is closer than his benefit - how wretched the protector and how wretched the associate.
English Translation - Rowwad Translation CenterThey invoke those whose harm is more likely than their benefit. What a terrible protector and what a terrible associate!
English Translation - Hilali and Khan13. He calls unto him whose harm is nearer than his profit: certainly, an evil Maulâ (patron) and certainly an evil friend!
