Surah Ibrahim, Verse 3

Mecca · revelation order 72 · 14:3

ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا عَلَى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍ

Saheeh International(3) The ones who prefer the worldly life over the Hereafter and avert [people] from the way of Allāh, seeking to make it [seem] deviant. Those are in extreme error.
English Translation - Rowwad Translation CenterThose who prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter and prevent [people] from Allah’s way, seeking to make it crooked[2]; it is they who have gone far astray.
English Translation - Hilali and Khan3. Those who prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allâh (i.e. Islâm) and seek crookedness therein - they are far astray.
